Critical assessment of developmental status with attention to subject, purpose, form and genre; target audience and project potential; effective and ineffective elements; initial concerns, questions and suggestions.
Regular Copyediting
Check of grammar, spelling, punctuation, consistency of mechanics and adherence to submission guidelines plus attention to content and style. Considers word usage, logic and clarity at the sentence and paragraph levels in relation to target audience. Corrections to headings and content within tables, charts, figures and captions.
Developmental Editing
Assistance in conceptualizing and actualizing multistage projects. Facilitated brainstorming, outlining/storyboarding, structural editing and dialogue to develop and strengthen manuscripts or effect large rewrites.
