Rich Editing Clientele

Academic writers / I serve professionals publishing in their fields. Their work furthers research in education, language, environmental and decolonial thought, equity and accessibility, earth science, resource conservation and population health. I welcome projects in the arts, humanities and sciences developed for scholarly review.

Creative writers / I serve essayists, commentators, innovators and entrepreneurs. These clients are both aspiring and accomplished authors. Some seek publication; others write for their own satisfaction. I welcome long- and short-form pieces and assist with website copy, newsletters, instructional manuals and passion projects.

Carrin Rich

I love that language can be infinitely ambiguous and infinitely precise. Each is necessary in different contexts, and I enjoy puzzling out the balance. I see my role as an editor as amplifying an author’s voice, not imposing my own, and I appreciate communicating with writers about how to achieve that.

I hold an MA in Language, Literacy and Sociocultural Studies from the University of New Mexico and a BA in Latin American Studies from the University of Texas at Austin. I am CELTA- and TESOL-certified in English language teaching and previously studied natural sciences, human anatomy and physiology, therapeutic movement and massage.

I have worked with writers since 2007.
